Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about TYSM.
What makes TYSM different?
TYSM makes appreciation real and lasting. Unlike empty social media reactions, every TYSM includes real money and personal notes. You're building actual relationships, not just collecting likes.
How do payments work?
TYSM uses Stripe for secure payments. Send $1-$50 with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any card. Recipients get funds instantly, and both parties get beautiful receipt cards they can save and share.
Do I need an account to send?
No! Anyone can send gratitude to any @handle without creating an account. You only need an account to receive gratitude and claim your own @handle.
Can I integrate TYSM into my app?
Yes! We have public APIs for getting user profiles, and we're building embeddable widgets and full transaction APIs. Check out our developer docs.
View API DocsIs my information private?
Privacy by default. Your gratitude graph is private unless you choose to make it public. You control what's visible: profile info, transaction history, and network connections.
What's a gratitude address?
Like email addresses for appreciation. Your tysm.to/@handle becomes your universal way to receive gratitude from anyone, anywhere. Share it everywhere you want to be appreciated.
Are there fees?
Standard payment processing fees apply (similar to any payment platform). We're transparent about costs and focused on making gratitude accessible, not maximizing fees.
What's the bigger vision?
We're building the gratitude layer of the internet. Universal @handles, developer APIs, and protocol-ready systems that make appreciation a fundamental part of digital interaction.
